Role Overview: We are seeking a Registered Manager to create a nurturing, activity-filled home where every young person thrives. This is an 8 bedded service located in Burntwood which specialises in delivering exceptional care and unwavering support to children and young people between the ages of 11 and 17 years. We are looking for someone with the passion and determination to go the extra mile to create a home that every child truly deserves. This includes creating a space brimming with activity, new experiences, and, most importantly, fun and laughter.

Whether you’re an experienced Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, this role offers growth and impact. You will be fully supported in your new role with a comprehensive induction program and specialised management training. This role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring a strong commitment to our values and the ability to handle difficult situations with resilience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Promote and adhere to the workplace values of Dignus Group (Resilience, Courage, Integrity, Respect, Confidence and innovation)
  • Lead a committed team to provide exceptional care and support for the young people we support.
  • Develop comprehensive care plans: ensure the young people we support have a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
  • Develop a great team: Working with the recruitment team to attract the best talent. Complete comprehensive inductions and personal development plans to ensure high retention of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
  • Maintain high standards by establishing and monitoring high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and statement of purpose.
  • Undertake investigation of grievances, complaints and disciplinaries in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Complete on call duties on a rota basis.
  • Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person.
  • Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level.

Essential Requirements:

  • Due to the ages of our young people you will need to be above 21 years.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations and therapeutic practices.
  • Experience as a Registered Manager or similar leadership role in children’s residential care.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent .
