What the role involves

You will support children aged 7โ€“17 with a range of complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds and additional support requirements. Alongside providing direct care, you will help maintain high standards within the home and ensure the service runs smoothly.

You will:

  • Provide dayโ€‘toโ€‘day care, emotional support and guidance
  • Promote routines, boundaries and positive behaviour
  • Support children with education, activities and daily living skills
  • Lead by example and support junior staff
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
  • Contribute to care plans and help children work towards their goals
  • Ensure the home remains safe, structured and childโ€‘centred

Working pattern

This service operates 24/7.
You will work aย 3โ€‘week rolling rota, including days and nights.

What weโ€™re looking for

  • Level 3 qualification in Childrenโ€™s Residential Care (required)
  • Minimum 12 monthsโ€™ experience supporting children
  • Experience working with complex and challenging behaviours
  • Strong communication skills
  • A calm, resilient, childโ€‘centred approach
  • Confidence in fastโ€‘paced environments
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to feel safe and thrive
