What the role involves
You will support children aged 7โ17 with a range of complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds and additional support requirements. Alongside providing direct care, you will help maintain high standards within the home and ensure the service runs smoothly.
You will:
- Provide dayโtoโday care, emotional support and guidance
- Promote routines, boundaries and positive behaviour
- Support children with education, activities and daily living skills
- Lead by example and support junior staff
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Contribute to care plans and help children work towards their goals
- Ensure the home remains safe, structured and childโcentred
No two days are the same โ this is a dynamic, highโenergy role where youโll make a real difference.
Working pattern
This service operates 24/7.
You will work aย 3โweek rolling rota, including days and nights.

- Level 3 qualification in Childrenโs Residential Care (required)
- Minimum 12 monthsโ experience supporting children
- Experience working with complex and challenging behaviours
- Strong communication skills
- A calm, resilient, childโcentred approach

- A genuine passion for supporting children to feel safe and thrive
