Role Overview: We are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in our 5 single occupancy flats in main building and 3 single occupancy bungalows service in Shepshed. We are looking for someone with the passion and determination to go the extra mile to create a home that everyone truly deserves. This includes creating a space brimming with activity, new experiences, and, most importantly, fun and laughter.
You will be fully supported in your new role with a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing development. This role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring strong commitment to our values and the ability to handle difficult situations with resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to the workplace values of Dignus Group (Resilience, Courage, Integrity, Respect, Confidence and Innovation)
- Manage the service effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring the smooth running of the service.
- Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural and culture needs of the People we Support.
- Provide managerial control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities.
- Assist the Registered Manager with the recruitment and retention of staff team.
- Lead the team to deliver high quality of care to the People we Support.
- Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with Company policies and procedures.
- Review care plans and other associated documentation.
- Provide support to the Registered Manager to ensure the completion of day to day tasks.
- Complete on-call duties on a rota basis.
- Undertake responsibility for regular supervisions, addressing performance issues and identifying training and development needs.
- Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each Person we Support.
- A desire to learn, we provide training and apprenticeships for you to achieve your full potential.
- Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level.
Essential Requirements:
- A good standard of written and verbal English.
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting adults or young people.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
- Proven supervisory experience.
